Memories of a glacier
Concept
This painting is a meditation on time, memory, and disappearance. Inspired by glaciers—once vast and immovable, now retreating—it reflects both nature’s quiet transformations and the impermanence of human existence. The flowing textures echo the slow yet relentless movement of ice, carving landscapes that will outlast its own presence. Light and shadow intertwine, suggesting both depth and loss, permanence and erosion.
As glaciers vanish, they leave behind traces—silent imprints of what once was. Much like our own lives, they shape the world only to fade, their absence a quiet reminder that nothing is fixed, yet everything leaves a mark. This piece is a reflection on the delicate balance between resilience and impermanence, inviting us to consider what we hold onto, what we let go of, and how time carves its story through all things.
