Concept
I had been in Venice a few times while I was painting 'Sands of time'. Its rich red and black are a homage to the beauty and passion that this city and its history always inspires in me. It's about being renewed times and again, like a fiery phoenix - it gives me courage and determination, no matter what.
Technique
This original mixed media artwork is made with acrylic colors, gesso, resins mixed with sands. Being richly textured, it gives the viewer both a visual and a tactile experience.
