So tangible

Concept

This abstract wall sculpture is inspired by the sparkling light of the sun peering through leaves and branches and colouring the ground with 'patches of life'. Looking at it I feel energy, beauty and closeness to the natural environment. I'm part of it.

The warm golden nuances of this work interact with the textured surface and gleam depending on the lights of the day.

Technique

The surface of this mixed media work is created with sand, coarse-grained gravel, small rocks and paper. It's then painted with acrylic colors, pearlescent pigments and glossy varnish that emphasise yellow and rosy gold tones.

Size unframed: 13.7x8.8x0.6 inches - 34.7x22.4x1.4 cm on canvassed board. Size framed: 18.8x13.9x0.6 inches - 47.8x35.4x1.4 cm. Please note: The artwork is SOLD FRAMED, as shown in the photo in the carousel. It's signed on the back and is ready to hang.
