Concept
I remember I was watching a documentary about nordic countries, and was amazed at those natural landscape views, at those wide open horizons, at lights that are filling the hearth with hope! This black, white and yellow abstract landscape painting is a celebration of those intense views and emotions.
Technique
This original mixed media artwork is made with acrylic colors, gesso, resins mixed with sands. Being richly textured, it gives the viewer both a visual and a tactile experience.
Size and support
Size: 19.7x19.7x0.8" (50x50x2cm) on a rigid foam board. The surface is treated with carbon fibre and fiberglass. It's a very sturdy but extremely light board (this combination of materials is used to realize boats and certain components of airplanes).
It's signed on the back.
Ready to hang:
- It has wooden fixings on the back (0.8cm thickness; total thickness of painting + wooden fixings: 2.8cm thickness).
