Concept
For this painting I was drawn by the sharp shadows cast by rocks during summer in the woods close to where I live. In this abstract landscape I wanted to represent the energy and power I feel touching those rocks. Magical. With its deep blue and pearly white, and a very rich texture, this piece spreads energy all around.
Technique
This original mixed media artwork is made with acrylic colors, gesso, gels and resins mixed with sands and stones. The yellow and the white color also have some metallic pigments in them, and they shines under proper lightning conditions. Being extremely textured, this artwork gives the viewer both a visual and a tactile experience.
