Concept
The warm separation between dark and light areas in this mixed media abstract artwork represents for me the need to acknowledge our contrasting aspects to feel fulfilled.
Technique, size and support
This original mixed media (30x20x0.2" - 76.4x51x0.5cm) artwork on plexiglas board, is made with acrylic colors, gesso, latex, resins mixed with sands. The white color also has some metallic pigments in it, and it shines under proper lightning conditions. Being richly textured, it gives the viewer both a visual and a tactile experience. It's signed on the back by the author and ready to hang.
