Pouring out

Concept

For this abstract painting I was driven by the idea of how strong are our plans and actions when motivation comes out of our very core values. I so much enjoyed to work with these deep blue and warm gold colours, and create its grainy and sandy texture.

Technique

This original mixed media artwork is made with acrylic colors, gels, sands and stones. The white, gold and bronze colors also have some metallic pigments in them, and they shine under proper lightning conditions. Being this artwork heavily textured, it gives the viewer both a visual and a rich tactile experience.

Size and support

Unframed size: 27.6x18.5x0.1 (70x47x0.3cm) - Framed size: 37x28x1" (94x71x2.5cm) on aluminum Dibond board. It's signed on the back and ready to hang.

The painting is mounted on a white wooden mount and white wooden frame with blue and golden touches.
